Children's Ministries Summer of 2008

"Then little children were brought to Jesus and he put his hands on them and said, "Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of heaven."

First Christian Church offers three children classes in addition to our nursery program. STARS exemplifies the purposes we teach our students:

                            Share Christ with others in evangelism;
      Team with other believers through discipleship;
      Advance spiritually in discipleship;
      Recognize our spiritual gifts to serve others in ministry;
      Surrender our lives to God through worship.

Our Sunday School Program

Nursery: Childcare is available on the main floor of the church for newborns to 4 years of age. God has blessed us with three wonderfully, caring adults to tend to the every needs of our youngest children. Childcare is available from 8:15 a.m. to 12 p.m. every Sunday. In addition, during special ministries, childcare can be secured by contacting Pastor Lisa in the church office or emailing her at fcclisa@sbcglobal.net

Children's Sunday School Program: Every Sunday morning, First Christian Church is blessed to offer a new fun-filled, spiritually enriching, children's worship hour called Disciples Kidz. Yes, we are worshiping our God through our children centered worship hour which occurs during our traditional Sunday School hour. Research shows that children learn using all their senses. So this worship hour has been created to stimulate and reach all children where they are and explore a life-changing relationship with the one and only SON of God, Jesus the Christ. Join us this and every Sunday for singing, bible study, skits, and age appropriate activities. A sample worship order is below:

Vacation Bible School: Our 2008 Vacation bible school is Power Lab by Group. We will host VBS Monday, July 21 through Friday, July 25 from 6 - 8 p.m. Registration forms are available in the church office. See you here for a great adventure discovering the miracles of Jesus.
