In the bible, ministry is done by teams of willing individuals. Jesus chose to minister and purse God's will through a small band of disciples. This led to his sending of disciples out in pairs (Mark 6:7). Later, Jesus appointed seventy-two others who were also sent out in pairs or two person teams (Luke 10:1).
 
First Christian Church has recently called an energetic pastoral team to lead us as we seek life transformation, and dare to grow for our God.  The Rev(s). Paul and Lisa Klaus joined First Christian in December of 2006. Both Lisa and Paul are ordained ministers in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) with Masters of Divinity degrees from Texas Christian University, Brite Divinity School. Paul will be providing leadership in pastoral care, evangelism, worship, and fellowship. Our Music Ministry Team is thankfully under the leadership Ellen Mangan. Ellen rejoined the music ministry team last spring and coordinates our Choir plus she leads worship during the second service. We are so blessed by her leadership and God-given musical gifts. Jan Kennedy joined the music ministry team at FCC four years ago; however, she has a been a resident of Garden City since her childhood. We are blessed by her leadership on both organ and the piano during the second service. In addition, FCC has an associate organist, Marilyn Wadel. Marilyn is a long time member here at FCC and plays music in our early service.                                               
                                                                                                                                         

Our children's ministry team excited to announce the addition of Mrs. Jamie Terry to the ministry leadership team here at FCC. Mrs. Terry has accepted the position as Children's Ministry Intern for this Summer. She has a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction and is a State of Kansas certified Teacher here in Garden City at USD 457. Join us in welcoming Mrs. Terry to FCC!
