2009
On Saturday, February 28, First Christian Church was so thankful to host
our 10th Annual Navajo Taco Din ner.
We were so blessed to have so many new workers to make this great
outreach ministry
possible. Last year, FCC gave away over $11,000 to
local ministries in our community.
For instance, $4,000 was given to the
Russell Child Care Development Center, and it
provided medical
assistance to families in need in our community such as special
pacifiers for children born with cleft palates. This year, we hope to
give away around
$9,000. It is truly our blessing
to serve so many in our community. In the Christian
Church (Disciples of
Christ), we are called to serve from our doorsteps to the ends of the
earth, and we truly believe through this ministry, we are able to touch
so many lives.
Thank you all for making this a truly exceptional Navajo
Taco Dinner.

HISTORY
2008
First Christian
Church gives God all the praise for our
most successful Navajo
Taco
Dinner to date. Our 9th
Annual Navajo
Taco
Dinner was held on
Saturday,
February 23, 2008.
It was a day
filled with wonderful
fellowship, great food, and lots of fun. We offered
exceptional homemade Navajo tacos made
fresh ground
beef, Nebraska beans, cheese, lettuce tomatoes, on
fresh
Navajo
Indian
bread. In addition to our wonderful taco, great Christian
men and women
furnished delicious
homemade
pies.
We also offered fabulous items live auction. Various
individuals and community
organizations made donations to
support this outreach mission of our church. We
are
so thankful that God
has blessed us with these resources
raised from this dinner
to support many ministries in our
community. So, we say "Thank You" for
helping
us fulfill our mission to "serve the
community from our doorsteps to the ends
of the earth."
