Carry In Fellowship Dinner
What
is your favorite food? Well, that’s this dish to bring with you
on Sunday. es, FCC will host a carry in fellowship dinner
immediately following our unity worship service. A special thank
you to the Membership ministry team for coordinating this
exciting meal. Remember, we need lots of salads, main dishes and
desserts. FCC will provide the bread and drinks. Plus, we will
have five gallons of homemade ice cream so bring along with your
dish your favorite topping as well.

Youth Sunday School
Radical
Jesus – Have you ever heard Jesus described this way? Two
thousand years ago, as Jesus ministered to people, some of the
things he said and did were radical. This entire summer, the
youth have been exploring some of the life changing things Jesus
invites us to do. Last week, the youth dove deep into the story
of
Lazarus and the rich man in the Gospel of Luke. We discussed our
theology of the after life and who is in control of our
thoughts, feelings and actions right now. Next week, we will
look at parent
child relationships also in Luke. All youth in grades 6th
through
12th
are encouraged to participate. Sunday facilitators are Pastor
Lisa, Linda
Strickland, and LaVetta Eastman. Come join the fun!
LOL and FROG Youth Groups
will return to regularly scheduled ministries this week. LOL,
our Living out Loud High School youth group, will meet at 7 p.m.
Sunday evening, and FROG’s, Fully Relying on God Junior High
Youth group,
will meet this coming Wednesday, at 7 p.m. Join us as we
continue our Journey
with Jesus this Summer!
Vacation Bible School has begun with a bang!
This week, First Christian Church blasted off with our most
exciting Vacation Bible School – POWER LAB. At our opening
night, we had over forty kids with more coming on Tuesday. This
evangelistic ministry focuses on spreading the Good News of
Jesus Christ into our community. The children are learning about
God’s Power – the power to be thankful, the power to be brave, …
It is truly exciting to watch the children experience God’s
grace made so clearly evident through the entire Children’s
Ministry leadership team. Thank you all to everyone who is
serving –
you are a blessing.
