Adult Sunday School Classes

Loyal Leaders: This interactive Bible Study is currently driving deep into the "Jesus Ministry." Come and join this  wonderfully enriching class taught in the Parlor  by Sheila Smith, Carolyn Davis, and Elizabeth Nash.

Daring to Grow:  This class is led by various members and opens every Sunday with a breakfast and a great welcoming atmosphere. This exciting discussion-formatted class is studying various books in the bible and used a variety of media sources to supplement the curriculum. Join us on a journey to eagerly embrace and examine scripture. We meet in the Fellowship Hall located in the basement.

Weekly and Monthly Discipleship Opportunities

New Covenant Bible Study: This weekly bible study meets at a Sharon Englebright's home (2311 North 3rd Street, Garden City) every Tuesday at 9 a.m. It is mainly at women's bible study. If you are desiring to grow more in your understanding of scripture, then this is the mid-week bible study just for you. We are currently studying Luke 14, so give Sharon a call to learn more about our great bible study ministry at 620-271-3670.

Disciples Women's Ministries: First Christian Church has three active Disciples Women's ministries. All women are invited to join one of the three great discipleship endeavors which seek to grow in their faith as women of God while supporting many mission ministries in Garden City and around the world.  Our purpose is to provide opportunities for spiritual growth, enrichment, education and creative ministries to enable women to develop a sense of personal responsibility for the whole mission of the Church of Jesus Christ.

     ►Fellowship Guild: Our Fellowship Guild meets the 3rd Tuesday of every month at 7:30 p.m. The Guild is led by Ruthella Wagner and they support our International Blanket Ministry, our Christmas Angel Tree, and Dress a Child ministries.  Give Ruthella (620-276-8050) a call and learn more about this great ministry.

     ►Friendship Circle: Our Friendship Circle meets the 3rd Thursday of every month at 2 p.m. in the parlor. Dorothy Vannaman leads this wonderful group of women growing in their faith. The Friendship Circle supports our Christmas Angel Tree, Dress a Child ministries, and our Blessing Box ministry. Dorothy would love to field your questions about this great ministry.      ►Genesis Circle: This exciting and technologically savvy women of faith meet the 1st Tuesday of each month in the parlor beginning at 7 p.m. Currently they are participating in the Chick Flicks series and examining how the entertainment industry does include theological points in various movies. Marsh Goodale is our leader and is available to answer your questions about this ministry at 620-275-5767.

 ►Having a Mary Heart in a Martha World: Do you love to read great Christian books? This is the ministry for you. Every Thursday evening beginning at 7 p.m., this women's ministry meets in the parlor to discuss their faith and great books help shape it. If you have any questions about this new ministry, give Shiela Dinkel a call, 620-275-2206.

Disciples Men's Fellowship: In January, Pastor Paul his re-launching this great ministry that meets once a month. The theme of the new launch is "Living Hands." Our first project was working at Habitat for Humanity. But, check the calendar to see how we will be the Living hands of Christ next month.
