Our Vision Here at First Christian Church, Garden City, we believe that all can follow in Christ’s footsteps. It is our responsibility to equip one another for that journey knowing that in life there are few easy answers, and it is important for all to be able to think for themselves and form their own beliefs. Therefore, it is our vision:

Mission Projects for 2008
In the spring of 2008, the youth participated in our local mission project, the Relay for Life. It kicked off at Easter with our Resurrection Breakfast to fund our entry fee in the relay and concluded with the actual Relay on May 2, 2008, at Garden City Community College track. Our summer mission project was for High School youth. We traveled to the Colorado Christian Home (Tennyson Center) in Denver, Co. for a week long ministry to children who have experienced a great deal of abuse in their lives. It began on Sunday, June 29, with our annual rafting trip and concluded on July 4 . All High School students had the opportunity to participate. To learn more about our mission
projects this fall, give Pastor Lisa a call at 620-275-5411. [1] Kenda Cresay Dean and Ron Foster, The Godbearing Life: The Art of Soul Tending for Youth Ministry. Upper Room Books, Nashville, 1998, 9. |
